Dear McGill Family,
It has been our pleasure to live across the street from you all for the past years. I could always count on Mac for a friendly hello or a kind word daily when I saw him outside, not to mention the countless times he caught our dogs when they escaped out of our yard. Our whole family will miss Mac's smiling face and we keep all of you in our thoughts and if you need anything just let us know.We miss him already.

Dear Eriana and Kathy,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad and husband. I remember how he was always very funny and made us laugh. I will miss that. It was always very nice of him to drive us around. He was always so nice and that meant alot. I could tell how much your dad loved you Eriana and dont ever forget that. I also remember how he joked around with you Mrs. McGill and it was enjoyable to watch. I will miss his kindness towards others. If you need to call me Eriana you always can.
Love, Kiara

David brought many hours of laughter into our lives. If I had one word to describe the man I knew it would be 'goofball', always the jokester. I know that the joy he brought to you and yours will embrace you forever.

Dear Kathy, Eriana, and family, we were so sorry to hear of your loss of your precious husband and father. You have so many wonderful memories of such a selfless man. That and the knowledge of where he is will carry you through this most difficult time. Just think, he's in the arms of the Lord! Mac reminded me of my dad- always freindly, sweet, ready to talk to you, or listen to you, loved life, loved his family, and always driving someone somewhere. If ever there is anything we can do for you, Kathy and Eriana, please don't hesitate to call. God bless you, Marcia and Kiara McGuire

My heartfelt sympathy to all the family. David was a kind person who was always there when you needed him. I'll miss his laugh, his quick wit and his ability to make you feel that everything was going to be alright. Some things change, but we remained the same. He will be in my heart forever.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Kathy, Eriana, and the whole family,
We were very sorry to hear the news about Mac. We have many fond memories of him over the years as a neighbor and a friend. He was a devoted son, husband, dad, and granddad. Mac was a true family man. We always enjoyed his stories and his sense of humor. We will remember Mac's love of the outdoors: cycling, hiking, and camping. He was a great man. We know your faith and trust in God will see you through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please count on us if you ever need anything at all. Love, Janell and the Nash Family
