Pamela de la Torre

Pamela de la Torre San Diego Pamela de la Torre passed away peacefully on January 30, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Pamela was the most caring and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She taught us all so much about how to live a loving, purposeful life. Those that knew her well commonly said that she was the strongest person they knew. She survived multiple battles with cancer and persevered through numerous other health and personal challenges with grace and courage. Pamela was devoted to social justice and touched many people in her careers in child development, education, health care and human resources. She was a talented painter and a lover of art and classical music. Pamela is survived by her mother Marlene, brother Leland, daughter Allison, son Peter and granddaughter Madeline. A memorial service will take place this Saturday, February 3, at 11:00 a.m. at La Mesa First United Methodist Church, followed by a celebration at the Brigantine in La Mesa.
