Barbara passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Charles Leider, and devoted mother of Janice Mallette, Jeffrey Leider, and Julie Galea. She was the caring grandmother of Katelyn (husband Clay) Heisler, Amy Anstrom, Cody Chirolo, Nicholas Chirolo, and Conner Galea and the treasured great grandmother to Andrew and Ella Heisler. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Anderson, mother, Erma Anderson Smith and brother, Bruce Anderson.
Barbara touched many lives with her gentle spirit and compassionate soul. She was born in San Francisco and graduated from San Mateo High School. As an avid golfer, she was a member of Crystal Springs Golf Club and Pajaro Valley Golf Club. Her faith was very important to her and she was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame since 1972.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers that provided loving comfort and care to Barbara during her extended battle with cancer.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate her life on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 1500 Easton Drive, Burlingame. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) or the charity closest to your heart.

Charlie and family, Gordon and I were saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. There are no words to take away sadness when you lose someone you love. She is now at peace. Our condolences to you. Linda and Gordon Strohmeier
