Evan Collier - Young Obituary
Family, friends, and the community that loved and supported Evan Edward Collier-Young are invited to come share time together with stories and memories of him at the memorial service to be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 3pm. The life of Evan will be celebrated at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Santa Cruz County, 6401 Freedom Blvd, Aptos CA.
It is suggested that those who wish, may bring something for the altar or wear dragon fly motif adornments as a symbol of remembering how precious, beautiful, and delicate Evans life was.
Evan was born March 4, 1991 and left this world on September 9, 2010.
He is survived by many life-long friends of all ages and a loving family including his mother Terra Collier-Young, his father Scott Young, his sister Camille Collier-Young, as well as maternal grandmother Cyra Richardson, and paternal grandfather Ray Young, uncles Steve Young, Kraig Lee, and Brent Collier, aunts Ronda Collier, Sheryl Lee, and Anne Young, cousins Hayley, TR, Beckuh, and Sarah.
Evan enjoyed the challenge of computer and video games and felt a great need to combat the evil of the world through these means. His time outdoors was spent with family and friends camping, boating, and hiking in many beautiful places. He also fostered the love of the redwoods with youngsters that were his charges at as a JR counselor for Adventure Trails summer day camp.
If you are unable to attend the service, please pause a moment to remember Evan and his gift of gentle kindness to the world. Evan will be loved always and missed greatly. His family, friends and community have been blessed by knowing him during his short stay on Earth.

I went to middle school and high school with him. After I left Soquel, I never saw him again. and to see that he is dead now, Kills me.
I'm deeply sorry for his family. this kills me. I wish i could of done something to stop this. Much love.

This beautiful young mans passing shows how fragile life can be. He was not on this earth long.....but, I know his gentle and kind deeds made a lasting mark. Treasure Evan in your hearts.
