A Resident of Santa Cruz, California
Robert Dennis O'Hare went home to be with the Lord on Monday Jan. 25, 2021 after a 2-year battle with cancer. He touched so many lives with his positive spirit even in the most difficult of times. Robert taught us all to live in the moment to the fullest and was a true inspiration!
Robert was born in Santa Cruz, Ca. He graduated from Harbor High School, played Lacrosse for Sierra Nevada College, Incline Village, NV then enlisted in the US Army where he became a Specialist in the Infantry. He remained active duty until his last day here on earth.
Robert is survived by his mother, Cindie; father, Michael of Santa Cruz CA; Grandparents Diane and Dennis of San Jose, CA; his aunt Kelley and uncle Sal of San Jose, CA and cousin Nico of San Jose, CA. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Sandra Russell and Great Grandmother Eleanor Luchessi.
His sarcastic sense of humor and ability to find humor in any situation will be missed greatly!
Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be a private ceremony and full Military Honors at graveside, on Friday Jan 29, 2021 at Santa Cruz Memorial Park. As soon as the weather is warmer, and restrictions are more relaxed there will be a celebration of his life event that will be announced where all can attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Wounded Warriors Project or to the SPCA of Santa Cruz County.
