I watched a video this afternoon doing a bench press workout with Ron in a gym in Campbell, Ca. It was early 1990, and we had a great time together. I'm sorry to say that I have not seen him sense because we moved. The video brought back memories, so I wanted to look him up. This is when I found the notice of his passing. Ron was not only a world caliber athlete but a wonderful human being. RIP. Reno De Caro.

For Jan and her family members. Wow 10 years and we still talk about Ron,Sr. what a great neighbor that turned into a wonderful friend to both my husband and I. Ron always was busy with the Gym however when at home he had a love for classic vehicles/hot rods. He was so very knowledgeable on those. He's painting skills were beyond exceptional and he was very particular of what he painted. Our 1951chevy pickup was absolutely gorgeous when he got done painting it. Ron,Sr. Was truly a man of many talents and very humble about them also. Jan and have remained friends for over 50 years. Love chatting with her on old times and our car shows of today. Rest in peace Ron,Sr., you left us way to early:( Don and Sue Luczak

I used to work out in high school at Ron's gym. He was a very nice man and an amazing bodybuilder with the former being paramount. And he really knew how to keep you from slacking during a workout. Legend.
RIP

THE ART OF LOVE
IS A FINE AND GENTLE THING
TO THOSE WHO CHERISH IT
IT IS BEAUTIFUL
IT IS LIKE A CIRCLE
A CIRCLE IS ETERNAL
AND ETERNAL IS FOREVER
Ron Sr. (Dad) to me; let me have the stage for a brief moment to present my favorite cheer as Dad, Jan, (Mom), Ron Jr. and I (Cindi) got together on many occasions just to enjoy life with laughter and love.
I was lucky to know Ron Sr. for about 15years and through Sr and the entire family I relish the memories of his spitfire youth and his outrageous accomplishments. Wow, did he really lift all that? I used to ask as I would stare at the trophy's and pictures. But ah... the videos are amazings!!! Dad had a lot to be proud of but there were two things that stood out for me the most, as a new member to the family. Without a doubt the special coupleness and love that Ron Sr. and Jan had together was a love story just waiting for a Hollywood director to write to script. A beautiful devoted women and her handsome Hollywood leading man who spent every minute on a date with his wife... his leading lady. The beauty was the story was true, and so sweet to see in real life. Secondly, the love Sr. had for his son Ron Jr. and visa/vera. He raised a son with great moral character. What a gift now a days. I miss you dad, and I especially miss the kind hearted guy that shared the stage with me and let me share my poem with you. My love always...... Cindi

Ron will be remembered as the person who kept the local gym scene alive in Santa Cruz county for many years and was really the precursor to all the facilities that exist in the area now.
He organized competitions; bodybuilding and lifting, trained hundreds if not thousands of people, and was a very successful lifter himself.
Was very saddened to hear of his passing.

We will miss Ron Sr. What a truly caring neighbor and friend. Everytime we see a old car or truck and classic rod vehicle we will think of Ron. Next time in California we will go to your favorite Mexican restaurant and toast you. Love Don and Sue Luczak
