Bernice Shuster Obituary

SHUSTER, Bernice
July 25, 1918-Sept. 3, 2012

Bernice (Bee) Shuster, of Monrovia, CA passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home in Alta Loma, CA where she lived for the past few years. She was a long time resident of Monrovia after moving there from Michigan in 1950 with her two children by her first marriage. She later married Chester Shuster who died in 1982. Bee worked as a secretary for most of her life. She was an accomplished toastmaster, was active in local clubs, charities, the Democratic Party, and the
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Bee always had a new interest. She took classes in a variety of subjects, and enjoyed many arts and crafts. A life-long library patron, she tutored foreign students in English through the literacy program. In her 70s she learned line dancing and tap dancing, and performed at local events. She visited family in Michigan often, and was a favorite aunt of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Gardner, (Mike Dalgaard) her son David Gardner, (Anna) a brother, Donald Czernik, (Barbara) of Michigan.
