Alfredo B. Alvarez was born Sept. 7th 1957 in Nyssa, Oregon to Jesus and Olivia Alvarez.

He passed away on December 15th, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. For those who knew Alfred he was very strong minded, and never held back his thoughts. He was a man with a big heart, never held grudges and would take the shirt off his back even if he had just gotten in a disagreement with you. He was very active in his childrens sports. He was also one proud grandfather.

He will be remembered as the life of the party, dancing and making sure all eyes were on him.

To my brothers and sister remember that dad would want us to be strong and remember all the good times, be there for each other and not let anything or anyone come between us. He was always one to say "Live life to the fullest as if it's your last, because tomorrow isn't promised."

Life isn't going to be the same without him. We will miss you!!

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Olivia Alvarez, brothers Joe and Leo Cano, sister Julia Garcia, daughter Olivia Alvarez and grandson Baby Marc.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Maria Alvarez and their children Maria (Adrian) Gonzalez, Mario (Sarah) Alvarez, Marco and Marissa Alvarez, Ana (Ernie) Garcia, and 12 grandchildren. Brothers Pete (Francis), Gilbert, and Manuel Cano. Sisters Jessica(Lito) DeLaVega, Lupe(Henry) Aguilar, Isabel Cano, Stella(Mike) Gonzalez, and Martha (Isaac) Berumen.

Visitation will be held at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary on December 22, 2008 from 4-8pm. Rosary to follow at 7pm. Funeral services will be on December 23,2008 @ 9am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
