A funeral service for Arlie E. Moore, 75, of Scottsburg, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Scottsburg Community Church. Burial will follow at Scottsburg Community Church.
Arlie was born September, 13, 1932 in Heavener, OK to Marion and Wilma (Hollingsworth) Moore. He passed away on April 9, 2008 in Reedsport, OR. He spent his childhood growing up in Santa Maria, CA and went to Santa Maria Elementary School, Santa Maria Jr. High, and Santa Maria High School. He then attended Santa Maria Community College. When he finished college he joined the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War as an Airman 1st class. He married Elaine Moen in 1986. He they lived in Scottsburg, OR, Arro Grandy, CA, and Santa Maria, CA. He was a business man and enjoyed flying, soaring above the clouds, fishing, and most of all visiting with friends. He always had a good story to share. He was a member of the Reedsport Eagles Lodge and Scottsburg Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Moore, of Scottsburg, OR, his daughter Erin Bunnell, of Santa Maria, CA, his son, Corey Moore, of Santa Maria, CA, his granddaughter, Olivia Bunnell, of Chico, CA, his grandson, Josh Moore, of Santa Maria, CA, his stepson, Eric Wood, of Jametown, CA, his stepdaughter, Robby Spitler, of Nipomo, CA, his stepdaughter, Michelle Harney, of Nipomo, CA, and his stepdaughter, Lisa Jaco, of Rancho Cordova, CA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
