Jacqueline Widle Obituary

Jacqueline L. Widle

1932 - 2021

Jacqueline passed away September 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Jacqueline Lorena O'Leary was born April 20, 1932 to John Patrick and Lorena O'Leary in Alabama. She was the older sister to Nancy and Patricia.

The family moved to southern California where Jackie graduated from John Burrows High school in Burbank alongside many friends including Frannie (Debbie) Reynolds.

Jacqueline married Keith R. Widle on December 28, 1951. Keith's years in the Air Force took them to Belleville, Illinois and Fairbanks, Alaska.

They then lived in Granada Hills before settling in Santa Maria in 1961.

After college Jackie worked as a medical assistant for years with Dr. John Karamitsos and loved being a part of bringing many babies into the world.

She then worked as a benefits coordinator at ITT on Vandenburg AFB.

Jackie's favorite things to do was to enjoy being around her family and to watch her fighting Irish Notre Dame football. She also was an accomplished knitter so all of her family members have their personally designed afghans to treasure and remember her by.

Jacqueline is lovingly survived by her four children: John (Dianne Slick) Widle, David Widle, Laura (Chris) King and Mark (Jackie Godinez) Widle.

Grandmother to Charlie (Tiffany Thompson) Widle, Erica (Colin Peterson), Stephanie (Kyle Tanner), Melissa (Ben Baker) Ontiveros, Hailey King and Aimee King.

Great-grandmother to Megan and Case Widle. Aunt and Great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life to be planned at a later date.
