JULIA GARCIA
1947 - 2008


Julia Garcia, 61 of Santa Maria, CA, passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at Marian Medical Center with her loving family at her side.
Julia was born July 5, 1947 in King City, CA. She was a strong and beautiful woman inside and out, who had a love for animals since she was a child. She loved flowers, orchids being her favorite, loved music and dancing. Julia also enjoyed watching her beautiful children and grandchildren play sports. Her greatest love was for her husband and family. Julia was the rock of our family. She will be greatly missed by all but will remain in our hearts forever.
Julia is survived by her husband of 44 years, Pete Garcia, daughter Tina Gonzalez, sons Steve and Rosemary Garcia, Freddy Garcia and Gabriel and Monica Garcia, grandchildren Pete Gonzalez, Ashley Garcia, Nicole Garcia, Jessica Garcia, Stephanie Garcia, Patrick Gonzalez, Gabriel Garcia, Anthony Garcia and Veronica Longoria, brothers Manuel Cano, Gilbert Cano, Pete and Frances Cano and Alfredo and Maria Alvarez, sisters Isabel Cano, Jessica and Carlito Dela Vega, Lupe and Henry Aguilar, Martha and Isaac Berumen, Stella and Michael Gonzales, Helen Banuelos and Mary Flores, brothers-in-law Mike Garcia, Lupe and Marina Garcia and Robert and Margaret Garcia, sisters-in-law Sheila and Lupe Regalado, Nellie Cedillos, Nena Navarro and Loli and Jesse Carrasco.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents Esteavan Cano and Olivia and Jesus Alvarez, and brothers Freddy, Joseph and Leo Cano.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. The vigil service will begin Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the church and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Fr. Vaughn Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Maria Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary and Crematory.

Mr. G., Gabriel, Freddy, Steve and Tina, I am so sorry for your loss. At one point in my life, Mrs. G. was like a second Mom to me. I'll never forget her for that. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Pete,
I'm so sorry that Julia was not well and that she is now with the Lord. Her smile will always be in my heart, she was definitely a classy lady. God bless you and all of the family during this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers to all of you.
