Vincente Sagisi Obituary
Come to me, all of you who are weary...and I will give you rest. -Matthew 11: 28
Vicente A. Sagisi, 87, long-time resident of Santa Maria, has gone to rest and passed away peacefully on September 1, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Vicente was born on April 5, 1925 in Makaweli, Hawaii. After serving time with the US Navy, he married Lorina Soriano; they celebrated their 51st Anniversary in June.
Vicente will be missed by his devoted wife, Lorina; children, Sharon, Heidi, and Lloyd Sagisi; grandchildren, Michelle Alegre, and Lorenzo, Michael, and Alyssa Jordan; great-grandchildren, Malachi, Elijah, Zoey, Alexis, and Michael Jordan; Sisters, Lapaz Sagisi and Carlota Aguinaldo; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many more family and friends who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 from 3:00 p.m.to 8 :00 p.m. with the Vigil service at 7p.m. both at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 9:30a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 414 E. Church St., Santa Maria, CA 93454. Burial will follow at Santa Maria Cemetery.
We would like to thank Zeny's Residential Home Care Facility for the compassion, loving care, and respect they'd provided for Vicente, along with their kindness to our family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Vicente's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org.
Your home in Heaven awaits you. You will always have a special place in our hearts, rest in peace. With much love - your family.
