STERLING – Connie M. Cornstubble, 87 of Sterling, died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
Connie was born on September 11, 1933 in Dixon, the daughter of John and Mary (Newman) Hannan. She married Morris Cornstubble on August 13, 1971 in Sycamore. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1994. Connie enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her three daughters, Debbie (Mike) Donnelly of Rock Falls, Lori (Tim) Olds of Sterling, and Jackie Mayer of Sterling; one son, Rob Mayer of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Kenneth Shaw; one grandson; one great-grandson; three brothers; and one sister.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.at the funeral home, with Reverend Richard Russo officiating. Burial will conclude at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
