Mike Johannsen, age 57, passed away on March 22, 2025, in Birmingham, AL. Born on January 4, 1968 in Sterling, IL, Michael, was known for his outgoing personality and huge heart. He is survived by his wife, Kaci Johannsen; children, Chris (Allison) Johannsen, and Ali (Chris Lord) Johannsen; sister, Debra Johannsen-Anderson; step-children, Ivy Unger, Harley and Connie Frieberg; grandchildren, Clay, Carter, and Collins Johannsen, and Rylee Lord; nieces and nephew, Alyvia (Kaleb) McCoy, Carson Hogge, and Emma Anderson; Brother-in-law, Mike (Miranda) Unger and family. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Walter Johannsen; mother and step-father, Gloria and Russell Coers; and his parents-in-law, Dee Unger and Dewayne Carter. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm on April 27, 2025, at Cragels in Prophetstown, IL. Please join his family and share memories of Mike with them.

I knew Mike from the neighborhood and grade school to high school. Always nice and friendly to me . You will be missed my friend.

I grew up with Michael and Debra. We lived in the Grimes edition. Our mom's often had coffee together and all of us kids played together. We climbed trees and put on puppet shows in our backyard. Mike loved riding bikes around the neighborhood. He was always a fun guy. I'm sure he will be missed. Prayers for
his family.
