My condolences go out to Mr.Stanton and his family and others who knew him. At school, my band director always used Ken Stanton, where to buy our books, where to buy our instruments, where she got them fixed. I wish you all the best.

The Faculty, Staff, Students, and Graduates of the Atlanta Institute of Music would like to share our condolances to the Stanton Family. If it were not for Mr. Stanton's vision, many of Georgia's musicians would of never have begun in music.

My grandmother's maiden name was Stanton and I have worked on family genealogy for years. Some of her family spoke of Ward & Win the twin Stanton brothers, who were also born in Lewis County, New York (Martinsburg). In my search I finally find a descendant but am too late to speak with him- happily I can see he was a very highly thought of, well loved individual who lived an exceptionally giving and full life.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers-

Jane and Kenny -- I pray that you will both come to be at peace with Ken's passing. I will be forever thankful for the role he played in steering my life toward music when I was young. I'm also thankful that he provided such close friendship for my dad. I think they were the best of friends for many years. I will miss Ken's vibrant personality and his delightful sense of humor. He was certainly one of a kind.

Peace -- Jody

Jane - As you will recall, Ken, you, and I practically shared a career. In retrospect the rough spots seem insignificant in comaprison to all the support Ken gave to the instrumental music programs of Marietta and Cobb County. Additionally, the social occasions in your home were always joyous and informative. The wintry trips on which Ken drove "us guys" to Chicago for the Midwest Clinic were professionally beneficial to all the band directors who participated. The fine programs that exist in Cobb County today had their solid footing established by Ken's efforts in the 1950s. We will miss him.

Jane,
I was so sorry to hear of Ken's (Mr. Stanton) passing. He was truly a gifted man when it came to music. My mother (Margie Rogers) worked at your store in Marietta for some 30+ years. I know that if she were still alive she would be saddened to hear of his death. I will keep you and Kenny in my prayers. May God bless you and care for you in the days that lay ahead.
