Mark Thompson Obituary

Mark Wayne Thompson - RINCON - Mark Wayne Thompson, 59, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016. The Chatham County native and resident of Rincon retired from the City of Savannah and was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his mother, LaVine Way. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie L. Thompson; son, Matthew Prosser of Rincon; father, Ray Thompson of Kansas; sister, Martha (Robert) Johnson of New Orleans, LA, brother, Stephen Thompson of Tarpon Springs, FL, sisters, Lori Dodd and Kim (Tracy) Holton both of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Emily (Tim) Kiene of Savannnah; niece, Rachel Kiene of Savannah; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maranatha Assembly of God with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery. Thomas C. Mark will truly be missed from this side. He was such a loving person to me. His word was his bond and he loved his family especially his wife Stephanie whom he spoke good of often. It is my prayer that these words will comfort you and that the Lord will continue to bless you.
