Richard Rolls Obituary

Glennville - Richard A. Rolls, 60, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at his residence under the care of Pearls of Life Hospice. He was born in Savannah living in Richmond Hill for many years moving to Glennville in 1972. He was retired from Civil Service at Ft. Stewart a avid hunter and fisherman and a Baptist. He is survived by: his wife, Mary L. Rolls of Glennville; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Martin and Steve Morris of Claxton; sons and daughters -in-law, Richard A. Jr. and Sheri Rolls currently in Iraq and Tommy P. and Jennifer Rolls of Las Vegas, NV; father, Patrick L. Rolls of Glennville; sister, Geraldine Henry of Myrtle Beach, SC; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2004 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in Rolls Family Cemetery, near the resid ence off of 7058 Bluff Lake Road, Glennville. Pallbearers; Bobby Parker, Jesse Parker, Jimmy Parker, Rodney Johnson, Billy Parker, Steve Morris, James Parker and Roger Rolls. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Wednesday Night Social Club: Lou Vadala, Rodney Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Jerome Johnson, Michael Johnson, Bill Dromo, Marcus Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Johnny Stanfield and J.E. Mary,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. I know the sorrow you feel and the emptiness in your heart but always remember God knows what is best, and has a correct time for everything.Richard is no longer suffering and he wouldn't want you to suffer over his loss. Just remember to always look up and God will strengthen you in your time of need.
