Dear Silvia, Jasmin, Robert, and family of Rory,
I continue to lift you all up in prayer each day. Thank you for sharing Rory with me and my family. We loved to get his calls, hear "Hi Nash Family" on the answering machine, or even better get to be with him in person and get one of those great big bear hugs! We will treasure the memories of his love, warm smile, and encouraging words as we look forward to the day when we see him again. He served our country well and we are so very thankful for his dedication and sacrifice.
Love and prayers, Lynn Nash

We first met Rory when he and our son, Geoff returned from Iraq a year ago March. Through letters and conversations with our son, it became clear that he and Rory had become "brothers" bonded by the time spend on the front lines. We had the privilege of spending the first weekend in July with Rory as he served as our son's Best Man at his wedding. Rory immediately became a part of our family, asking if he could call us us "Dad" and "Mom" saying he felt as if he knew us well from Geoff's stories. How could you say "No" to such a sweet-talking, bright-eyed young man. Our hearts, too, are broken with this loss of a young man who had so much potential. Please know that we have offered up Masses for the repose of his soul and for his loved ones. He will always hold a special place in the Callahan family. "Eternal rest grant him, Oh Lord, and may your Perpetual Light shine upon his face."

Rory lived life to the fullest, and at times on the edge, but always with a smile on his face, a sparkle in his eye and love in his heart. We are all missing our beloved Rory and our hearts are broken. He is now rejoicing with his mother before the Lord and at peace. We are proud of all he accomplished and overcame, to become a great man and courageous soldier. My deepest condolences to Robert, Jasmin, Silvia and all his family. We are honored to have been a part of Rory's life. Our prayers are with you. With great sadness and love, Caryn and Tom

Rory was a constant source of joy to all he knew. In fact, the stories that Rory created for us will continue to spread that joy to others as they are told. No moment was dark enough to prevent Rory Jenkins from causing everyone around him to smile. As many stories have been shared about Rory during the past few days one thing was ever so clear... Rory Jenkins was given the gift of serving as God's hand in the delivery of tremendous joy/laughter/love to all of us- regardless of circumstance.
When each of us met Rory...The Lord Gave. Even with you away from us for a time Rory.... the gift that you allowed God to give us through you, continues to give and always will. For that we thank you..
Thank you for being a friend, an encourager, a smile, a joker, a bandmate, a server, a soldier, a brother, and so much more...
We love you and will miss you until we see you again Rory.. May your eternal celebration begin and your long-awaited reunions be the first of many presents the Lord has for you.
John 3:16- See you at the Gates.-

I first met Rory when he was a very small child -- running through his Naples home with his sister Jasmin. My memory is of happy children in a happy home - they are good memories. I was just with Rory last week - not seeing him for many many years - he had grown into a fine young man ..so mature for his short years -- these last memories are also good memories.
To the Jenkins family, I pray that each memory that God has given you comfort you and bring you peace.
