To Sams Family: My husband "Rick" worked with Sam on several jobs while in Stevenson, AL. We got to know Brooklyn (he worshiped that little girl)while she was staying with him for awhile. We also met Sam's mother once while she was visiting. We just learned of Sam's death last week. It was such a shock and sorrow to have learned about him. We have wondered why we hadn't heard from him in awhile. He rode back and forth with my husband they carpooled for awhile while working in Chattanooga, Tn. He used to visit and sometimes have a bite to eat. He sometimes would just call to chat, he was always friendly. He was well liked and thought highly of as a friend and also as a co-worker. He was pretty handly with auto mechanics too. He helped my husband with a motor once. God bless you all as I know he is deeply missed.
