Charles James Breiner, 93, of Molino, passed away Sunday, July 7, at Geisinger St. Luke's, Orwigsburg.
Charles was born in Molino, on March 21, 1931, a son of the late Lillian Ann (Machamer) and Charles Stephen Breiner.
He was the widower of Pastor Shirley M. (Teter) Breiner.
Charlie was a member of Drehersville Immanuel E.C. Church Orwigsburg and attended Pinedale School.
He worked at Sylray in Orwigsburg, as a pattern maker and he also worked construction. Charlie was a past master and member of Schuylkill Lodge No. 138 F&AM, Orwigsburg; past officer and member of Orwigsburg OES No. 424; Ancient Order of Shrine, Reading; Schuylkill Shrine Club; Scottish Rite, Valley of Reading; Schuylkill County Club of Reading Consistory, High 12; 50-plus year member of DR Schall Hunting Club; former member of planning commission for West Brunswick Township and member; past conference delegate and senior elder of Board at Immanuel Evangelical Church of Drehersville.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Linda Potts, wife of Daryl "Pete" Potts; and his son, Larry Breiner, widower of Christine, and his companion, Cathy Dieffenbach. He is also survived by his sister, Kathryn Reichert, widow of Glenn; and granddaughters, Christina M. Breiner and Shellie M. Schenck, wife of David; great-grandson, Otis Schenck.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin N. Breiner, in 1982; and brother, Arlan Breiner.
A visitation will be held in Drehersville Immanuel E.C. Church on Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 until 10:45 a.m., at which time there will be an Eastern Star and a Masonic Necrology Service, followed by a memorial service officiated by Pastor Ken Schira. Interment will be in held Drehersville Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Drehersville Immanuel E.C. Church, 43 E. Pheasant Run Road, Orwigsburg, PA 17961. Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. is honored to be serving the family.
