Metro V. Pastue

Metro V. "Vince" Pastue, 79, of Clayton Township, Mich., died Friday at his residence surrounded by family.

Born in Maizeville, Sept. 21, 1928, he was a son of Michael and Anna Pastue.

He married Annie Genell Burks on July 12, 1958.

He retired from the City of Flint Department of Public Works in 1979 following 30 years of service.

He was a longtime member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Flint. Mich.

He is survived by his wife, Annie; four loving children, Vincent and wife Annette; Rose and husband Calvin Sies, Delores Pastue and Victoria and husband Scott Swedorski; six grandchildren, Linsey Sies, Nicholas Pastue, Ryan Pastue, Emily Swedorski, Ashley Swedorski and Sarah Swedorski; a great-granddaughter, Ellie Ona Paris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who helped care for him.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church, 3202 Forest Hill, Flint, Mich., with the Rev. Gary McInnis officiating. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Vince will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of Mass. The family will also receive friends at Reigle Funeral Home-Sunset Chapel, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Mich., from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.
