Michael Gene Weekly

March 13, 1957 - September 7, 2025

Michael Gene Weekly, 68, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Mr. Weekly was born in Seymour, IN a son of the late Robert G. Weekly and Janet Sutherland Weekly. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Northgate Baptist Church. Michael and Sueko moved to Florence from Michigan for him to join Pee Dee Therapy Group. He pioneered the Sports Medicine Program in Florence in 1989, which branched out to all high schools in the Pee Dee area and beyond. Throughout his career, Michael worked for McLeod Regional Medical Center, Southland Health Care Center, and retired from Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. Michael loved his family, country, and shooting on his private range.

Surviving are his wife, Sueko Nako Weekly; daughter, Tracy (Joseph) Sullivan; son, Brian Stantz; grandchildren, Madisson Goodburne and Sean-Patrick Sullivan; sister, Brenda (James) Vogel; nieces and nephew, Christiana (Eliot) Grubb, Elizabeth Vogel, and James Michael (Lindsay) Vogel.

Memorials may be made to Northgate Baptist Church, 1217 North Ebenezer Road, Florence, SC 29501.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Northgate Baptist Church directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
