Hard to find the right words to express my feelings for Dons loss. He lived every day to his best. I'll just say it as simply as I can.

I always enjoyed working with Don, hearing his perspectives, and having a window to his intense life lived with purpose. He was a confident upbeat person who gave careful attention to his patients while brightening the day for his coworkers. He is missed.

Don's eccentricity captured the interest of many in the community. He was a talented, driven man that wasn't afraid to live outside societies norms. I cherish all the lessons he taught me and the time we spent together. Don was a important part of my life for many years and we maintained a connection over the last few years. I'm heartbroken that his journey ended so soon. My condolences to You Alberta and Ted as well. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Godspeed Don.

Dear Mrs Jappert
I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss. Don was such a great anesthesiologist and wonderful person. I was always happy to know he was taking care of my surgical patients as they always woke up doing well under his supervision. He was a unique person and we always enjoyed hearing about his many adventures. I frequently told him he was like a colorful salt water fish living in a cold water lake. It always made him laugh. I hope that your many happy memories of him will help you in this season of grief.
