Gordon Lahr Obituary

Gordon Herbert Lahr "Gordy"

Gordon Herbert Lahr "Gordy" Age 76, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the St. Cloud VA. Gordy was born October 4, 1944 in Roscoe and raised in St. Martin and Paynesville area. He resided in Richmond and St. Cloud most of his life. Gordy was a skilled carpenter, from building bridges in his earlier days to custom furniture for friends, family and his small business with his wife Linda, he made it all. His family still treasures some of his pieces in their home today. After retirement, Gordy found joy in driving and delivering Subaru cars and being part of the Subaru family. He selflessly provided many years of care to his late wife, Linda throughout her long battle with cancer. Gordy's greatest Joy in life was his children and Grandchildren. He always gave them special treats, scooter rides, enjoyed gardening and planted flowers with them and went to all of their dance shows and sporting events. Gordy was a kind, caring father, grandpa, brother and friend who loved to joke around and brought smiles to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed.

Gordy is preceded in death by his wife Linda, parents, and brother. He is survived by his sons, grandchildren and brothers and sisters who will treasure his memory.

A special thank you to all of the nurses and caregivers at Good Shepherd Nursing Home and St. Cloud VA 49-1 for taking such good care of Gordy in his final days, our family truly appreciates the kindness you have shown.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 25th, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with a gathering 1 hour prior in the gathering space.

When Gordy and Linda moved from the Northside neighborhood, the birds followed them. We haven't had nearly the birds we had when they lived next door. They knew how to appreciate nature. Wishing the Lahr and Trebtoske family peace.

Gloria and I have Known Gordy for the last 40 years for sure. We were neighbors in Richmond, and became fast friends with Gordy and Linda in St Cloud.
Gordy I will always treasure our heart to heart talks, I will treasure our dinners out, first at the Coyote Moon and later at the 400 Club, they are precious memories.
Gordy I love you like a brother and will look foreword to the quick whit and sparkling eyes, mischievous even.
See you in Heaven Brother.
By the way it is your turn to buy.
