March 21, 1934 - August 13, 2011

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM Thursday August 18, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Lillian R. Studniski, 77, of St. Cloud and formerly of St. Joseph who died Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Joseph Feders, OSB will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4-9PM Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the church in St. Joseph. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Joseph American Legion Auxiliary will pray at 6:30PM followed by parish prayers at 7PM all Wednesday at the church in St. Joseph.

Lillian was born in Freeport to George & Mary (Sumbs) Pfau. She married Aloys Studniski on January 22, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. She and her husband lived at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma during the Korean Conflict and after the war moved back to St. Joseph where they made their home. Lillian provided day care in her home for many years and later worked for the College of St. Benedict. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph and the St. Joseph American Legion Auxiliary. Lillian enjoyed puzzles, traveling with Army buddies, country music, camping, baking fresh bread, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Lillian is survived by her children, James (Deb) of Clearwater, Tom (Theresa) of Avon, Aloys Jr. (Julie Knopik) of St. Joseph, Lisa (Mark) Hilsgen of St. Joseph; siblings, Betty (Ellard) Lemmerman of Rice, Dolores (Kenny) Holthaus of Sauk Rapids; sister-in-law, Myrna Pfau of St. Cloud; 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Aloys; and brother, Robert Pfau.
