The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Robert "Bob" Kohorst, age 85 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 22, at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany, burial will be in the parish cemetery. Bob died Wednesday at the Melrose Hospital. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM, Sunday and again after 10:00AM, Monday at the Seven Dolors gathering space. Seven Dolors parish prayers will be 4:00 PM Sunday at the church. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes.
Bob was born July 18, 1931, in Albany to Clemens and Anna (Buerman) Kohorst. He served in the U.S. Army and returned to Albany where he was a carpenter, running his own company, "Bob Kohorst Construction." He loved to fish and he enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, the Seven Dolors Knights of Columbus, the St. Joseph's Society and the Albany American Legion.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Elmer (Aurie) Kohorst, Albany; LeRoy (Joyce) Kohorst, Albany; Arnold (Suzanne) Kohorst, Maple Grove; Melvin (Diane) Kohorst, Bloomington; LuAnn (Jeff) Smith, Baxter; Marlene (Allan) Schwinghammer, St. Cloud; Darlene (Frank) Cooper, Baton Rouge, LA; Viola (Joe) Hagman, Boise, ID and sister-in-law, Mona Kohorst.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ervin Kohorst and sisters Mildred Kohorst and Jeanette Nistler and brother-in-law, Lee Nistler.
Memorials are preferred to Grace Court Assisted Living at Mother of Mercy Campus in Albany.

We were so sad to hear Uncle Bob passed away. He had a deep, booming voice that would have scared us as kids if it wasn't for his warm smile and kindness. We won't be able to make it up for the funeral, but we will be thinking of him and the family. Karla (Kohorst) Reyerson and family.

Sad to hear of Bob's passing. Glad we had our cousin's reunion and enjoyed celebrating his 85th birthday. We are still in AZ so will not be able to attend his service but we will be holding you in our hearts. Hugs and God Bless Ted and Jo Hoffman
