Dolly was an inspiration and a wonderful friend. I met her early in my career when I volunteered as a board member for Helping Hands for the Disabled. I had no idea what I had gotten into, but she took me under her wing and taught me the value of "giving back".
She was the force behind the agency's fundraising auction, that began as primarily a "potluck" evening and has (20+ years later) developed into an annual big EVENT. She and I shared a laugh every year about how far it had come since our humble beginnings.
I will so miss Dolly. I loved to hear of her travel adventures. And I especially loved her direct, non-nonsense but overwhelming loving spirit.
May the journey continue my friend.

Dolly was my neighbor and my friend. She left her footprint in the neighborhood and will be missed by all of us. Above all else she loved and adored her family, loving to share stories. Warm thoughts are with you as Dolly's rich and well lived life is celebrated!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dolly and Les in Ashland many years ago. Dolly and Les were dear friends of my dear friends Joanne Foote-Lynch and her late husband Tim Foote. Dolly was a force in the universe and I so enjoyed knowing her over the years. She was one of the most interesting, honest, real people I have met. Her place in this world will be left empty, void of her energy, wit, and love of life. My sympathies to the family she loved dearly; may you find peace in the memory of Dolly.

Dolly was one of a kind. For over 30 years we had so much fun together - and through laughter and tears we held each other's hands when we needed hand holding, poked each other when we needed poking, comforted each other when we needed comforting and teased each other when we need to be teased. And very time I phoned her I would say, "Is this my personal 9-1-1?" and she would answer, "Speaking!"
Words cannot express how much I will miss her. Good Golly Miss Dolly - No sense telling you to rest in peace because I can picture you now - telling everyone in heaven what to do and how to do it! Knowing you, you will have a wonderful time in the afterlife my precious friend.
