I miss you Greg McBride!
Rest peacefully

Dear Greg, How I miss you! How you are missed by so many you touched...
Yesterday was my birthday, one you always honored with beautifully self designed card with deep meaning. And yesterday was the fourth annual milestone of your passing.
Do you remember how I used to spring you from Rm 138 at the VA hospital and we'd drive up to Snoqualamie Casino to play those silly slots!? You were like a giddy kid and you made me feel the same way brother. you'd call me brother. and we were. still are.
They say there are three phases of death....
our last breath,
when we're layed to rest
and
when people stop talking about us allowing the memory of our existence to fade away.

Dear Greg,
Because of who you are to so many
you remain immortal.

love, Marshall

I work for SRO and was periodically one of the assigned engineers for the property that Greg had his counseling office at. I had many instances to speak with Greg, and always appreciated his good nature and our conversations. I was shocked to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.

A special visit it was...

Dear, dear Greg, What an incredible man you were! One of the best things that happened in my life was finding you as a counselor. Your loving, caring, compassionate heart touched my family and changed our lives forever. You excelled at meeting our family wherever we were during our counseling sessions and helped us to more clearly understand each situation from our perspective but also from the other's perspective. I thank the Lord for the gift of you. Katherine and children, our family thanks you for sharing him with us.

Greg, I miss you so. I mean I really miss you. We had so many laughs and so many tears. I don't know where I would be right now if I hadn't had the honor of being one of your clients. You helped me find myself again. Everyday I can be stronger because of you and what you taught me.
As I see your picture here, I am having a hard time with the grief and just missing hearing your voice and being in your presence. Your very comforting presence.
I know that you are in a safe, warm, wonderful, and pain free place, but know how much we all miss you.
I have never in my life met anyone as phenomenal as you. You truly are a gift from God to me and everyone you have touched.
Good-bye my dearest of friends. I miss you so.
Love, Jeanette alias "muffin queen"

Greg, my True North and my friend. You are most influential in who I am today and will be tomorrow; we talk every day, you just aren't in the chair opposite me any longer.

May your love and wisdom continue to surround and comfort all those you hold dear. Just as I lit candles for you at Notre Dame and St. Paul's, today and always I will light a candle and smile up at you; letting you know you "did good" in this happy girl's life.

God Bless my friend.

My husband and I only knew Greg for 6 months yet he was instrumental in our growth as a couple. His insight and wisdom was exceptional and invaluable to us. We continue to make time for "Greg talks" when we need to connect or work on an issue in our relationship. We feel so fortunate to have known him and will miss him. We send our condolences to all he held dear. Ann and John

I can only celebrate the life of Greg. He and I together built wisdom - a foundation for me to go out and Takom 'olam - Repair the world. Greg, you have walked with me in this adventure, cheered me on, been proud of me -- I know we will continue to walk -- just around the corner.

I only had the opportunity to see Greg a few times but I can say with all that I am that he made as much an impact on my life in such a short time as anyone ever has in my 47 years of life. He is truly a blessed soul that will be in heaven helping more people. I know he will be with me the rest of my days. Rest in Peace Greg. This world lost a true angel!

Gator, Thank you, for who you were, for what you represented and for how you enriched my life. I leave you with the following reminder of one of our more important conversations.

Fair Winds and a Following Sea

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind ever be at your back,
May you find old friends waiting to greet you, there on the outside track.
We're gathered together old times to remember, 'tis but for ourselves we would grieve,
So we'll sing you a chorus and bid you farewell - fair winds and a following sea.

We'll sing of 'The Leaf' and 'The Parting Glass', we'll raise up our voices in song,
No sadness today for the one who has passed, celebrate with a voice glad and strong.
A catch in the throat, a tear in the eye, but no funeral dirge will this be,
We'll roar 'Auld Lang Syne' as a victory song - fair winds and a following sea.

And those of us left here will miss a true friend, who shared with us good times and bad,
Raising a glass to your memory we'll say: We've known you why should be we sad?
We honour a life that was lived to the full, we honour a spirit, now free.
You'll long be remembered, whenever we say: Fair winds and a following sea!
You'll long be remembered, whenever we say: Fair winds and a following sea!

I had the honour of meeting Greg on several occasions through my best friends, Peter and Judi Adcock. I found him to be truly caring and patient. I can understand why Peter and Judi revered him. He was a remarkable man. "A Man for all Seasons" Rest in peace Greg. Doug Tedford, Niagara Falls, Canada
