I feel as tho I have lost another sister. I can just imagine my sister Gail Silverton and Ilene up in the stars talking about old times. I have thought of Ilene so many times over the last few years and so wanted to get in touch, if only I had known she was so close in Gig Harbor. We had many good times together and I feel so blessed to have the paintings she gave to me. My condolences to the family - even tho Bob is the only family member I knew. I will cherish my memories. She was an amazing girl who will be truly missed.

Ilene's beautiful heart and soul will live on through the body of work she has created for all to enjoy. Her gentle strength, humor and creative spirit will not be forgotten. My prayers are with her and her loved ones. I remember her fondly. I love her work. The world has lost a beautiful artist. Peace to you, Ilene.

Ilene was such an amazing artist.
I only knew her through her work, but, wow, she was such an incredible artist.
It's not often that such a talent graces our world. Years ago, I spoke with her agent, while I was at one of Ilene's Seattle shows...I asked if Ilene was 'in' her paintings, because it looked like she experienced that world so completely...she said, 'yes'.
I knew it, because she was just so there, you know, with her work.
I work as an artist, and have always had such respect for Ilene's body of work.
We've lost a special person.
I only wish that I could have had a chance to meet and talk with her.

Ilene(Linda)was a childhood friend. We grew up together on Alki. I always remember the paper dolls she made for me and their elaborate outfits. I wish I still had them.
As we got older we lost touch with each other but I always followed her career and often went to galleries that showed her paintings and thought. "I knew her growing up" I am sorry we never got to reconnect. Linda and her family will be in my prayers.
