I wanted to let Mrs Shannon's family know how very sorry I am for their loss. I was a witness to this horrible tragedy, and my deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends. If you wish to reach out for me, please feel free to do so.
Sincerely,
Amy Morris

Mrs. Shannon was a wonderful gift to the children of Sacred Heart and to Medina Elementary. My son James loved "The Lunch Lady" at Medina Elementary and made sure that whenever it was his turn to bring birthday treats to school, he always saved one for Mrs. Shannon. He was thrilled to see her again when he changed to Sacred Heart school and he gave her a huge hug when he first laid eyes on her! She gave so much to all of the kids at both schools; she was much loved and will truly be missed.

We remember well the early days of Sacred Heart Church on Main Steet in Bellevue. My parents,Wim and Sally Alma, worked with Madeleine and Herb when fundraising for the new church on Clyde Hill was spaghetti dinners put on by the parishioners.
Madelene was very kind to my mother in law after she was widowed, and upon her death, kindly helped gather friends to celebrate her life. We consider ourselves fortunate to have been counted among her many friends. Godspeed.
Much sympathy and many prayers from the Alma Family, Sally and Wim,
Mischa Wim and Bogi (Mary)

Madeleine was such a wonderful friend and support to my mother for over 50 years. I know she made such a difference to hundreds of children growing up, myself included. She felt like a second Mom to me. She was always with us for "Medina Days" and our annual garage sale! She would bring lunch once a week to my mother and they would visit for hours. We truly miss her and feel such a loss, but know she is reunited with her husband and family now. I am blessed to have had her in my life.
