Michael William UFER June 26, 1984~July 25, 2000 Ten years have past and we still struggle to understand the accident that took you from us at such a young age. Our lives were changed forever and there will always be a hole in our hearts. We hold on to all of our wonderful memories and the love and joy that you gave to us for those short 16 years. In the silence of our minds, where no one else can see, your smile, your voice, your memory, is kept so tenderly. Sunshine passes, shadows fall, but love and memories outlast them all. Your legacy and spirit live on at Bishop Blanchet High School where hundreds of students have benefited greatly by your program (The Michael Ufer Program for Academic Success) established in your memory nearly 10 years ago. You are sadly missed, but never forgotten. We miss you and love you with all our hearts and soul. ~Forever, Mom, Dad, Erika and MattTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dearest Family of Michael Ufer.....we still hold him close to our hearts even tho the years have passed. We will always remember when you first brought the twins to Hoods Canal and there was a lot of work to be done...bottles cleaned and filled, laundry to be done and babies to be held. These were happy days for all of us. Remember those wonderful sun drenched days and go forward with love in your hearts for those other members of your family who still grieve .....we miss him!

Thank you for the wonderful notice in The Seattle Times. It was very touching. I lost a son a few years ago at a similar age and also have the hole in the heart you wrote about.
May God's love give you strength to love and care for each other and keep Michael's memory alive.
