WAYNE -- Richard Eugene Weiker, age 79, of Wayne, Ohio passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 30, 1944, in Fostoria to the late Samuel Newton & Mary Jane (Thomas) Weiker. Richard married Delorse L. Tyson on July 6, 1974.
Surviving Richard is his loving wife, Delorse; children, Richard Weiker, Jr., Debra Beck, Kristal (Chris) Hiser, Randy (Denise) Wiseman, Jeffrey (Dawn) Wiseman, Steven (Dee Carr) Wiseman, Roxann Wiseman; grandchildren, Aron (Sintia) Wiseman, Aric Pearce, Alicia (Jeff Smith) Pearce, Rachel (Ron) Willmarth, Raquel (Adam) Bomer, Hope (Michael) Burdge, Paige Wiseman, Brooke Wiseman, Aaron Wyant, Andy Wyant, Samantha (Jeremy) Gunder, Ashley Wiseman, Kyle (Destin) Heminger, Brittini (Jay Mendoza) Heminger, Savannah (Devin) Swanson; 39 great-grandchildren & one on the way; 3 great-great-grandchildren & one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel & Mary, and sister, Mary Ann Welly.
Richard was a graduate of Fostoria High School, worked 17 years in Pattern Repair at Chrysler from 1962 – 1982, and then worked at Speck Sales in Bowling Green for many years. He was a member of the Sandusky County and Findlay Sportsman Clubs. He had a passion for anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, woodworking, sharp shooting, camping, and traveling. Richard also enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, visiting with his high school friends every Tuesday morning for coffee, and will always be remembered for his amazing storytelling abilities. His absolute greatest love in life though was spending time with his family, attending all of his grandchildren's activities over the years, and being there for them in every way that he could.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11 AM. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery near Wayne. Immediately proceeding will be a gathering for friends and family at the American Legion in Bradner, Ohio.
