Ronald Beyer Obituary
He was a Belding High School graduate, class of 1954. Ronald married Jean Marie Sharp on Feb. 16, 1957 in Ionia. He was very involved in high school athletics and was an avid golfer for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed traveling abroad and family events. Ronald owned and operated Dog & Suds in Hastings. He was a life member of the Elks and Knights of Columbus and was a member of St. Anthony's and St. Theresa in Florida. He always stayed busy with various projects at his work bench.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jean; sons, Kevin (Mary) Beyer of Hickory Corners and Kurt (Linda) Beyer of Rockford; grandchildren, Bob, Kyle, Ashley, Katelynn, Kelly, Eric and Kristen; brother Bill (Julia) Beyer of Ionia; sisters, Dorisa (Jack) Hamm of Ann Arbor, Mary Ann (Gordon) Galloway of Morley, Judy (Fred) Schafer of Phoenix, Ariz., Joan (Jim) Penn of Lake Placid, Fla., Janet Mooney of Virginia and Lynn (Chuck) Wedra of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Jackie.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Saranac with Monsignor Ed Hankweicz as celebrant. Visitation will be held Monday, 7-8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's name to St. Anthony's Catholic Church or the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be made at www.lakefuneralhomes.com.
