Brent, I know it's been awhile since we hung out in 2000, but the memories I have of you have not faded. I still remember laughing over a fire at Ocean Beach and dinner at Calzone's, San Francisco. You were so generous, telling me to order any dish I wanted because it was your treat. I don't remember what I ordered, but I do remember that you never stopped smiling that night, being the fun-loving person you are. And who can forget winter formal at Notre Dame, or the Renaissance Faire with our group? Those were fun times. I wish you didn't have to go so soon, but I'll be seeing you, my friend. This is good night, not goodbye! Love always, Katrina

My heart is overwhelmed with sorrow for Brents family. I was in school with Brent from Elementary School through high school as well. He was always so cheery and soft spoken. Always had a smile on his face. I do find comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord and we will see him again one day. God bless you during this hard time.

To the Collins Family.
I would first like to say I am very sorry for the loss of Brent. I can remember when I was growing up going over to your house and bugging Brent with Heather. Just remember he is in a better place now. I am sorry to hear that he passed away.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Collins and Heather,
I went to school with Brent from elementary school all the way through high school, and my sister was in Heather's class. I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I wish the best for you and your family through this difficult time.

I remember going to L.A. on a bus with Brent. We were going to see StepChild (that became Lavabone.) We had such fun walking down Sunset Strip with our friends Summer and Dave Robertson. It was a great trip. It is one of my fondest memories of Brent. I will indeed miss him.
Fondly,

Brent,
Ina Godda da Vida never sounded so hale and hearty as the summer you played it non-stop on your electric guitar from your room -- a teen bent on musical perfection! As it wafted through our windows next door and reverberated through our home, I always paused to smile at your enthusiasm and your rigorous focus! Play it for the gods now, and all those you meet in the next phase of your journey.
Love,
Rosy, Bond and Charlie

Dear Gayle and Ron, Please accept my deepest sympathies on the sudden passing of Brent. I remember when he was member of the Orioles in Little League - full of enthusiasm, questions, and as he called them, "observations". I'm sure his memory will remain with you and many others forever.

Gayle and Ron,
You know this will not be short.
You married sincerely and have created a family through your superior devotion and hard work. While all parents feel they can never do enough for their children, few have succeeded as well as you. You worked hard to build your children and not just provide their basic needs. You have always known the difference between rearing and raising. The building of Brent is not over, it has been taken from you and he is already in a higher place. God bless you during this period of loss with the knowledge that you have been a model to many other loving parents and Brent was an instrument in providing your example. The Lord has taken that instrument for his needs now and, hopefully, leaving you with the satisfaction of a job well done.
