Carol had a twin brother, Ward, and the two of them joined brothers Clyde and Warren to complete the Healy family. As assistant city engineer, of San Francisco, Carol's father, Clyde E. Healy, lead with the team that designed and engineered Lombard Street, the Great Highway and other major public works projects and thoroughfares, throughout San Francisco.
