Dane Rogers Post passed away very peacefully on March 28, 2017. With his partner, Kelly Fasman, and a few close friends surrounding him, Dane bravely chose to be taken off life support after a remarkable seven-year struggle with ALS. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Dane will likely share that everything that Dane did, he did with passion, precision and a great degree of gentleness. Dane had an amazing presence and a smile that moved all who met him.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Up until 2006, when I moved to LA, I had the honor and pleasure of studying music theory and jazz saxophone with Dane for several years. I am shattered to hear just now of his illness and passing.. Dane was one of the most blessed and important people in my life. I have so many memories of us working together on improvisation in one of the little rooms at House of Windwoods. I.am missing him. I wish all my condolences and spirit of support to his family and close friends.
