Daniel Renal Obituary
04/17/1980 - 03/01/2025
Daniel Joseph Renal, born April 17, 1980, in Redwood City, passed away late in the evening on March 1st at the age of 44.
Daniel was a jack of all trades who excelled in sales and had a natural ability to connect with people. He loved music and never passed up a chance for karaoke.
He enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes-skills proudly learned from his father-and loved sharing these pastimes with his son, Daniel (Danny). He also enjoyed horror movies, comics and anime, pool, bowling, and cheering for Bay Area sports teams, especially the 49ers and Giants.
More than anything, Daniel was a devoted friend. He was loyal, nonjudgmental, and always there for those he cared about. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, offering support, laughter, and kindness without hesitation.
Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Cathy McCauley (2018) and Dennis Renal (2021). He is survived by his beloved son, Daniel Victor Renal; his brother, Matthew Renal; his sister, Erin O'Sullivan; his stepfather, Mike McCauley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
A celebration of life will be held at Red Morton Park, Redwood City, date will be announced at a later time.

I´m really sorry to hear about Dan. I´ve known him since we were barely teens. I´m glad I got to spend some time with him a couple years ago. He definitely was a loyal friend, and a genuine and very passionate person. Always uniquely Dan. I know how much he loves his son and family, and I´m so sorry for your loss. Daniel was a good man, a good friend to my family, and good company. I am saddened by his death and extend my sincerest condolences especially to his son, his sister and brother--to his entire family and close friends, who will miss him terribly.
