It's coming up to the 10th Anniversary of Dr Heffelfinger's passing.
I was a delivery person for a dental lab, so I regularly visited about 20 offices. I would describe his dental office as "a party thinly disguised as a dental office." And considering the nature of a dental practice, that is not easy to achieve.
As an example, his patients would bring the office pastries. On many days, the office would have more than your average Starbucks.
Among other things his patients liked about him is they could trust him to be give an unbiased evaluation whether a tooth need repairing asap, or they could re-evaluate it at the next check-up.
He treated everyone who entered his office as a friend including me, the delivery person.

We have lost a dear friend but we thank God for putting David into our lives. We know God will give him the grace to realize the birth of his first grandchild when she comes into the world in January, the same month that David was born.

Eric, David was one of the truly outstanding people I have met in my life. A Great laugh! Great sense of humor! Always positive in his outlook, as evidenced by his determination over the past number of years. Adventurer--Kayaking in Hanalei, Skiing in Sierra, joining the Santa Cruz boys at Huntington Lake for fishing--and that was just with me!! We will truly miss David and I know he will always be with us in our hearts.

David was always a pleasure to be around and had such a gracious, good humored manner. I always remember the platters of sushi he brought to our holiday party. Our thoughts are with you, Eric, in this loss. And Katarina, you brought David many joys. David and Anne Burns Johnson
