Doris Gerhardt Obituary
03/06/1958 - 11/12/2024
Doris died at home in Millbrae after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Doris was born to the late Robert and Rita Sowers of Daly City, CA. Loving wife for 40 years to the late Donald Gerhardt. Survived by and loving mother to Jennifer, Sarah Dailey (Brendan), Bob (Katie). She was a proud and adoring Ga (Grandmother) to Donald, Boston, Lucas and Kaitlynn. Also survived by brother Mike Johnson, sister-in-law Carlene MacDonald (Alan deceased), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Bill Johnson.
Doris graduated from Westmoor High school in 1976. She pursued a career in cosmetology and worked for many years at the Estee Lauder counter at the downtown SF Emporium. Doris was a loving and loyal friend who welcomed everyone into her home. Her door was always open. She loved being at home cooking, baking elaborate cakes, entertaining and crafting.
Doris will be missed and forever in our hearts.
Please join us in celebrating her life Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Dr., Burlingame.

Doris and I were inseparable in our teens. I stayed with her every weekend after bowling in our Junior League. When my dad died before my 16th birthday, she made sure we had a sweet 16 together and bought me a dress for it. She was a good friend, wife and mother and I will always cherish those special memories. Rest in Peace Doris

Very sad to hear this. Doris was a great friend during our teens and early adulthood at Westlake Bowl in Daly City. She was part of the inseparable dynamic duo of Doris and Debbie M. Her best friend was Jim F. She was kind, and beautiful inside and out. I had the pleasure of meeting her son Bob when he worked at Canyon Market many years ago. We had lunch together years ago and she repeatedly expressed great pride and joy in all of her children. Great memories! My condolences to her family.
