Elias Rivera Obituary

Elias Rivera
08/07/1987 - 03/18/2025
Elias Angel Rivera, 37, passed away on March 18, 2025 in Alameda County.
It is with heavy hearts that we confirm the death of our beloved brother, uncle and friend Eli Rivera. Eli was known for his bombastic personality and quiet voice. He was loving and generous with his family, both biological and chosen. He brought laughter to every party. He idolized his older brothers, especially Adrian, who he could talk with about sports teams for hours. He was a consistent and fun presence for his niece and nephew, even when he couldn't be with them in person.
Born in Chicago on August 7, 1987, Eli had a challenging childhood after losing his mother at ten years old. After high school, he followed his older brothers to the Bay Area. He loved the Cubs, Puerto Rico and rap music. He loved food and cooking and could eat almost anyone under the table.
He is preceded in death by his mother Pamela and treasured older brother Adrian. He is survived by his father Hector, brothers Aaron and Gabriel, sister Clarissa, niece Mia, nephew Remy and spiritual sisters Danika and Courtney King as well as a cherished circle of friends.
A memorial will be held to honor his life on Friday, June 20 at Mountain View Cemetery in Piedmont and he has been laid to rest next to his brother Adrian at Hooper & Weaver Cemetery in Grass Valley, CA.
Eli's life was at times tumultuous but often vibrant. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
