Eloise Cooney Obituary

Eloise Cooney 1941 - 2007 In Concord, August 23, 2007. Eloise was lovingly cared for in her final months by her longtime partner Lynn Jasvin. She was preceded in death by her mother Ethyl Merrill and her father George Cooney. Eloise will be forever remembered by her sister Joyce McNulty (Dan) of San Carlos and her three nieces and their families. Eloise (Sr. Dennis Marie) was a Dominican Sister of Mission San Jose for 25 years and inspired children as an elementary and secondary school teacher. After obtaining her M.F.C.C. license, Eloise counseled in Contra Costa County and taught alcohol and drug studies at John F. Kennedy University and Diablo Valley College. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos on Tuesday, August 28 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
