On June 23rd 2021, Evangeline "Angie" Assogna age 96 passed away peacefully in her home in San Bruno in the arms of her loving son Federico Assogna whom with love dedicated his life to her and never left her side for the past 6 years.
Evangeline is survived by her 7 loving children: Norman Bautista, Franklin Bautista, Barbara Mitchell (Michael), Susan Pavesi (John), Chiara Levin, Sandy Peck (Steve), and Federico Assogna, her youngest. She is also survived by her 8 adoring grandchildren: Michael, David, Joshua, Zachary, Alex, Vincenzo, Domenico, Angelina as well as 9 great grandchildren: Danielle, Dylan, Hugh, Eva, Alyssa, Sophia, Charlie, Zachary, Evelyn and numerous family members.

Evangeline was born June 13th 1925 in the Philippine Islands to George and Juana (Mayonila) Triplitt and then she came to America and found then married the man of her dreams Domenico Assogna on June 16th 1959.

She loved helping people so she became a health care provider then was a school bus driver and was adored by the school children and their parents because of her kindness, she also owned and operated several bakeries and a Italian coffee shop in North Beach before retiring.

She was affectionately called "MaMa Bella" by her children and also had another nickname "Van" short for Evangeline that was given to her as a child by her family in the Philippines.

Evangeline was so caring and had such a beautiful and loving heart, she will be so deeply missed by her family and by everybody that knew her kindness, she was the heart and soul of our family.

'And now' she is happily reunited in heaven with the love of her life, our father Domenico Assogna and her parents and her sixteen siblings and so many other family members and friends of hers.
She is already deeply and dearly missed and she will always be in our hearts, she was our rock and hero and will forever be loved so much by her family and will always be our loving "Mama Bella"
Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 4:00 pm-8:00pm Tuesday, July 20th and to attend the Rosary at 7:00pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City.
On Wed, July 21st, friends may visit and view again from 10:00am-11:15am followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00pm at St. Bruno's Church, 555 San Bruno Ave West, San Bruno.
