Fernando Abad Obituary

ABAD, Fernando, Sr. - Born May 30, 1909 passed away peacefully with his children at his side on Saturday, July 30, 2005. Loving father of Amelia, Rolando Sr., Nelia, Fernando Jr., Wenona and Danny. Beloved father-in-law of Frank Phipps, Ludivina Livelo, Renato Voluntad, Evelyn Nombrado, Lawrence Keel and Alice Almario. A proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He had a long and wonderful life. A very humble and simple family man, he served with the U.S. Navy and was a merchant seaman. He graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in the Philippines. In keeping with his humble nature the family will bid farewell to this kind man with a Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 6 at First Presbyterian Church, 35450 Newark Blvd., Newark, California at 3 P.M. Family and friends are invited to attend. Services private. Arrangements under the direction of the Neptune Society. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Seton Medical Center, for the kindness and loving care he received during his illness.
