Gus Pallad was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather known for his big heart and warm smiles. Always a hard worker, Gus earned his Master of Business Administration degree and worked many years in the Transportation Industry before retiring. Proud of his Greek heritage and very musical, Gus was a native of Cleveland, Ohio. Gus also lived in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating his family to Orange County, California. He was a member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine, California. His wife and family were his greatest joy.
Gus is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ranea (Kerhulas), and sons Peter of New York City, Ted (Nevin) of Palos Verdes Estates, California, and Michael (Jill) of New York City. He was the proud Papou of Parker Mae, Carson, Robby James, Gus and Maddie Pallad. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Pallad, and parents, Michael and Calliope Pallad. He is survived by many loving relatives and longtime friends.
A Trisagion service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 20, at Sneider, Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real, in San Mateo. The Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 21, at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, in Belmont. A Makaria will be held at 12:30 PM, also on Friday, March 21, at the Sofitel Hotel, 223 Twin Dolphin Dr., in Redwood City.
