Harusue Ogawa

Mr. Harusue Ogawa, living at 1632 Post Street in San Francisco, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 at age 106.

Born on March 23, 1910 at Izu Nagaoka, Shizuoka-ken, Japan

Married Yoshiye Hosaka in Japan on 3/31/1940

In 1955 he and his family (wife Yoshiye, 3 sons Ken, Tats, and George(Yu) immigrated to San Francisco.

After arriving in San Francisco he and his family lived in San Francisco Japantown and he worked at the San Francisco downtown branch of the Bank of Tokyo..

Retired from the bank in early 1970's and enjoyed his retirement by playing tennis, fishing, gardening and reading Japanese books.

He is survived by the following people.
   Son Tats Ogawa and wife Susan Kaoru,
           Grandson Eric
  Son George Ogawa and wife Susan Sumiko, 
           Grandson Michael and wife Yuan Niu,
           Granddaughter Stacy and husband Jesse Bowman
  Granddaughter Mimi Ogawa

Mr. Ogawa was a strong supporter of the Boy Scout Troop 58, and successfully managed to have his three children graduate from the University of California, Berkeley.
The memorial service will be held on March 4, 2017 at 11AM at the Sokoji Temple of San Francisco, 1691 Laguna Street, San Francisco.
