John Martsolf Obituary

John Willing Martsolf
04/05/1927 - 06/14/2025
John "Jack" Willing Martsolf
Bellingham, WA. - On June 14, 2025, in his 99th year, Jack passed peacefully at home with family by his side.
Jack was born April 5, 1927, in Buffalo, New York to Dorothy Esther Willing Martsolf and John Herbert Martsolf.
At the age of eight, the family moved from the east coast to the San Francisco Bay Area, settling in the East Bay Hills of Oakland CA. Graduating from Fremont high school, Jack went on to Yale University, enlisted in the US Navy, and eventually enrolled in the University of California Berkeley, where he met and fell in love with June Dolores Stephens. The couple were married in March 1952. Together they raised a loving family and enjoyed the fruits of a true American dream. Retiring and making Blaine, WA their home, they enjoyed their sunset years together in the great Northwest.
He will be fondly remembered as a compassionate, successful, philanthropic leader, teacher, and family man.
Jack is survived by his two sisters, three sons and two grandchildren.
