I worked with Joe in the shipyards in San Francisco in the late 1970's. He was a great mentor and an excellent mechanic. HIs patience with the young guys like me helped me as I moved on through the trade. I really enjoyed working with him and learning all of his tricks for doing a top notch job. I will remember him always.
