Karen Palengat Obituary
March 30, 1950 - September 9, 2015
In Daly City, September 9, 2015, after a 25 year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Karen was surrounded by family at the time of her death.Karen graduated from University of San Francisco in 1972 and received her MBA from Stanford University in 1979. She retired in 1997 from St. Mary's Hospital. Active in the Sisters of Mercy community, Karen considered them extended family. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Karen is survived by her husband Pierre, children Timothy and Danielle, stepson A.J., mother Veronica Carrillo, siblings Kristine, Kim, Kent and Kirk and numerous nephews and nieces. Karen was preceded in death by her father William Carrillo. Her generous nature and spirit will be deeply missed.
Services will Saturday, September 19th, 10:00 am at the Mercy Center in Burlingame, 2300 Adeline Drive, Burlingame.

My sincere condolences to Karen's family. So many memories from our Mercy days and into our adult years! Karen was an enthusiastic volunteer and organized some of our most memorable reunions with the Skippers.

Lovingly remembering birthday parties at the Funhouse, swimming lessons at Jeff, Karen singing with her guitar, sleepivers, picnics at the zoo, Saturday morning cartoons, chili beans at Rosie's, and seeing Karen at Mercy as a Novice. God bless your gentle soul as you enter His loving embrace for eternity, Karen.
