Lamberto Leveriza Obituary

Lamberto "Bert" Leveriza
1934 - 2022
Bert Leveriza, 87, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in San Bruno, California, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He now joins his daughter, Lydia, who passed away in July 2020.
Bert was born in Pasay City, Philippines, in 1934, the 7th of 12 children, to Aquilina and Florencio Leveriza. He graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila in 1958 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and was a professional civil engineer until retiring in 2012. He worked in Vietnam in the late 1960s; South Korea and Saudi Arabia while employed at Bechtel Corporation through the 1980s; and for local companies working on the BART SFO and Dublin BART projects during the later part of his career. He was an avid chess player, loved watching sports, and enjoyed supersized halo-halo.
He is survived by his four children, Louella, Burt, Louis, and Maria Pettit; seven grandchildren, Adrianne, Chenise, Anthony, Nico, Allie, Jason, and Ysabela; and 3 great grandchildren, Mason, Milo, and Imogen. He is also survived by his siblings, Rafael Leveriza and Lilia Esguerra.
At his request, there will be no funeral services.
