Lita Peralta Obituary
Beloved daughter of the late Oscar Pena Peralta and Virginia Julia Freitas; Beloved sister-in-law of the late Patricia Tracy-Peralta. Beloved and devoted sister of Oscar (Olivia) Peralta; loving aunt of Maureen (Patrick) Conway, Kenneth (Julie) Peralta, Laura Peralta (Douglas) Schulte, Mary Peralta-Falzon, caring great aunt of Theresa and Brian Conway, Jeremiah and Elaine Peralta, Katherine and Claire Schulte, and Francis and Bridget Falzon.
Lita was born in San Bernadino County on November 21, 1927.
Her family moved to San Francisco where she graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Spring 1945.
Lita received her nursing diploma from St. Francis Hospital Nursing School.
She worked at U.S. Public Health and St. Mary's Hospitals as a registered nurse and volunteer. Lita unconditionally shared her love and care for 64 years.
Her greatest treasures were her family, friends, church family, four legged creatures and the San Francisco Giants.
Lita will be remembered for her contagious laugh and her grand sense of humor.
Friends may attend a Vigil Service on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Both services will be held at St. Emydius Church, 286 Ashton Avenue, San Francisco, CA.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Emydius Church or the SPCA.
Internment Holy Cross Cemetery.

Oscar and family,
Please know that I am so sorry for "our" loss of Lita P. I was so saddened today when I read in the Chronicle that she had passed last month. Today I could not reach her by phone as the recording said that the phone had been disconnected. Alarm bells went off. I last spoke with her in Sept and promised I would be calling again soon. Soon was not soon enough. I am just heartbroken as I know you all are as well. My prayers and thoughts will always be with you.
